You call Nigeria great because you’re privileged, angry Twitterati tell DJ Cuppy

Angry Twitter users have told Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, that she regarded Nigeria as a great country simply because of her good fortune as the daughter of a billionaire.

DJ Cuppy, who is Femi Otedola’s daughter, incurred the wrath of Twitterati when she called Nigeria “The greatest nation” in a tweet on the Independence Day.

A Twitter user, Wole, @kingwole, reacted to her tweet, with a Twitter thread, highlighting the plights of poor Nigerians and wondered why she would call Nigeria, the greatest nation.

Lots of reactions trailed Wole’s tweet. While some Twitter users supported his stance, others felt he was taking out his frustrations about Nigeria on the deejay, because she is from a wealthy background.
