THE FUTURE
It happened I met my old teacher today who taught me while I was still in junior school, I greeted her and she asked me how life was going, and I replied by saying "we are still hustling MA", she said "if you are hustling now, what will u do in future"?, and she walked away, to be sincere that statement really made me think I was I wasting my time thinking about/ working towards the future now as am still a student.It took me time to ponder on it and turn it into a constructive/positive CRITIC.
It is said that "THE FUTURE YOU CANNOT PICTURE YOU CANNOT FUTURE IN IT"
Meaning if you don't start working towards the future now with the glipse you have about it you can never future in it(simply put you can NEVER get it).
It is also said that the "YOUTH ARE THE LEADERS OF TOMORROW", if we truly know we are the leaders of tomorrow then we have to be prepared for the tomorrow to lead just the way you prepare yourself before writing/sitting for an exam. So, you can cannot lead the future without preparation..
Hustling now as a student doesn't mean you won't hustle in future(it all depends on the kind of hustle), it only shows you are getting yourself prepared for the future to lead and live well....
So the questions we should be asking ourselves here now is not how to make money and live well or how to become a great man or woman. The million dollar questions are:
1.WHEN IS THE FUTURE?
2. HOW DO WE GET PREPARED FOR THE FUTURE OR TOMORROW TO LEAD?
I will be answering these questions below in a simple and understandable way...
Firstly, asking yourslelf WHEN IS THE FUTURE?: I will give it a simple and direct answer which is "THE FUTURE IS NOW". Gone are those days when one would be saying if I grow up or in the future I will buy this type of car,build this type of house, dress like this, walk like this, keep this type of friends and so on.....
There are people at your age who has achieved those things mentioned above and even more,
You can do the same legally and still maintain who you are in christ without indulging in any form of unrighteousness or should i say indescent behaviour just to get what you want and loose what you need which is Eternal life and Integrity.
So all you need to get what ever you want is to keep you dreams alive, there are people who died at old age and didn't get to see how their future look like, they didn't see their future not because they don't have a future, neither did they not have dreams, they didn't see or achieve their future because they didn't keep their dreams alive.
They were waiting for the appointed/specific time to come so as to start enjoying their future not knowing there is no specific/appointed time for the future, you can actually start achieving those dreams of yours now not waiting for the future you don't know when it will come because it isn't specific, it comes anytime.
Start with what you have now so as prepare yourself for the future, start with the resources available to you because the future isn't specific. I have seen kids at the age of 8-10 who already have everything they needed for the future, that's because they started with what they have and never waited for the specific time for the future to come, so they already have thier future with them and they will decide "when" not the future will decide for them.
What i'm doing now is what I have to start, because I have ever wanted to add value to other people's life through writing or speaking. You can do the same, if you start with what you have now and gradually, you will get there because the difference between THERE and HERE is "T" which means TIME.
THE FUTURE IS NOW SO KEEP YOUR DREAMS ALIVE.
Secondly, asking yourself HOW DO I GET PREPARED FOR THE FUTURE OR TOMORROW TO LEAD?: I will also give it a simple and direct answer which is "FIND YOUR PASSION AND FOLLOW IT"
Sir Richard Bronson said " THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT ABOUT YOUR LIFE AND WORK IS TO FIND YOUR PASSION AND FOLLOW IN A WAY THAT IT WILL IMPROVES YOU AND OTHERS"
Meaning your passion don't only help or improve you but it also improves or help others around your, simply put the "world".
what i'm doing now is not my future but it's my passion( it's something i'm passionate about).
Therefore, the only way you can get yourself prepared for the future is to find your passion and follow it to the end.
Someone would want to ask, how do i follow my passion?.
So simple, to follow your psaion, you need to start doing what it takes to get there, for example, if your passion is to speak in a public, to follow it you need to start going out to speak in small congregations and from there God will make you speak in large congregations where you will be recognized because helped others through your speech or impartation, and from there you will see you didn't only help or improve yourself but you also helped or improve others.
Someone would also want to ask, how do i find my passion?
It so also simple, to find your passion, you need to find out that one thing you love to do or would love to do without getting paid. If your can find that then you are to follow it and see how it will improve your life.
Above all, know that you will meet critics on your way up, the ability for you to overcome criticism and make it constructive or positive to use makes you a leader. Beware of criticism because it must surely come to bring you down or discourage you on your way to success.
Be motivated by those who doubt you and be encouraged by those who support you.
Either way you will WIN
Some will tell "you can" and most will say "you can't"
Two different sentences but both have a positive input if you train your mind to see it.
Train your mind to see more than what is on the surface, to see an opportunity when there are obstacles, to see blessings on disguise.
Don't allow someone's "you cant" "it's impossible" "I did it and failed" to stop YOU from making that one bold step.
Your #attitude will determine which direction you go and the how and way of life you live.
Dare to dream BIG and believe in YOURSELF.
